Self-compassion involves acting kindly towards yourself when you are having a difficult time, when you fail, or you notice something you don’t like about yourself.
Particular now in this difficult challenging time it is important to practise on being compassionate towards yourself. Treating yourself with kindness and compassion is one key tool to boost your self-esteem. Science shows also that being kinder to yourself increases your well-being, happiness and resilience.
I would like to share two powerful exercises which I use regurarly with my clients.

🤔 Start your day asking yourself these questions and pick at least one :
☑️ What can I do today to nourish me ?
☑️ What can I do today to strengthen me ?
☑️ What can I do today to inspire me?

🤔 Think about times when a close friend felt bad about him or herself or was struggling or stressed in some way. How would you respond to your friend in this situation? What would you do, or say, note also the tone you typically use.
🤔 Now think about times when you feel bad about yourself or are struggling. How do you typically respond to yourself in these situations? What would you do, or say, note also the tone you typically use.
❓ Did you notice a difference? If so, ask yourself why.
✍ Please write down how you think things might change if you responded to yourself in the same way you typically respond to a close friend.
